Reverend Glenice Robinson-Como Celebrates the Eucharist

                                   The Reverend Glenice Robinson-Como is the celebrant for worship service at 

                                   St. Francis of Assisi on November 24 at 10:30 a.m.

                                   Reverend Como is a native Virginian and received her Bachelor of Science from

                                   Virginia Commonwealth University, her Master of Divinity from Perkins School

                                   of Theology at Southern Methodist University, and a diploma of theological

                                   studies from the Seminary of the Southwest. She has worked as a staff

                                   ombudsman with the Houston-Galveston Area Agency on Aging for ten years,

                                   a contract administrator with the Department of Defense and with the

                                   Metropolitan Transit Authority in Southern California.

She has served as chaplain to The Beacon and chaplain to the John Epps Chapter of United Black Episcopalians (UBE) and as a mentor with Kids Hope USA. She previously served as chair to the Commission on Black Ministry, as a member of the diversity committee at the Seminary of the Southwest, a board member of Amazing Place.

Glenice has authored meditations for Forward Movement, for the book, Yes! Jesus Loves Me — 31 Love Stories and in Lifting Women’s Voices, Prayers to Change the World and Forward Movement.  

Glenice is a Bishop’s Fellow for the diocese of Texas and will begin serving as Vicar to All Saints Stafford in December. Glenice is married to Paul L. Como and they have two children, Paulie and Dominique, and a family dog, Chance.  She is also a trained Veriditas labyrinth facilitator and enjoys leading labyrinth walks at historical landmarks.
